Jay Gunter Besheer is the grandson of Gunter’s founder, L.R. Gunter. He began his career with Gunter as a teenager in 1969, working summers and holidays. After high school, Jay attended the University of Missouri, Columbia, where he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. Upon graduating with a B.S. degree in Business, he joined the firm full time. Rising through the ranks, Jay was appointed President in January, 1998.
Jay, like his father, has been strongly involved in the pest control industry. He is past president of the Greater Kansas City Pest Control Assn. and is past President of the Kansas Pest Control Assn. He has served as chairman or as a member of various National Pest Management committees, including Business Management, Wood Destroying Insects, Personnel Management, and Marketing. Jay has also served on the Board of Directors of the National Pest Management Association.
Besides serving as an insect expert on various local radio shows, Jay has also served as an expert in matters of termite inspection/treatment disputes. Jay is also proud to have attained the rank of Eagle Scout. He was a scout in Troop 50 at Broadway United Methodist Church.

Jeremiah Ryden
General Manager
Jeremiah began his career with Gunter as a part-time summer employee as a pest control technician in 1992. After graduation from Kansas State University, Jeremiah rose through the ranks to become General Manager in 2004. He is a member of Pi Chi Omega, the professional fraternity of the pest control industry. Jeremiah has also served as President of the Pest Management Association of Greater Kansas City and is on the Board of Directors of the Missouri Pest Control Association.
Not only does Jeremiah serve as an expert in matters of termite and general pest control matters, but he also is responsible for coordinating day-to-day activities in the field with administrative activities in the office.

Matt began his career with Gunter in 1997 as a pest control technician. In 1998, Matt was promoted to termite inspector and in 1999, Matt was promoted to supervising the staff of general pest control technicians in all residential and commercial accounts.
Matt is also a termite expert and is certified with The Sentricon® Termite Colony Elimination System.

After graduating from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Steve served his country as a U.S. Marine for four years, serving in Grenada and as a personal guard to President Reagan at the White House and Camp David. After entering the civilian workforce, Steve started his commercial pest control career in 1998 for a national pest control firm before joining Gunter in 2003 as the Manager of our Commercial Division. Steve will inspect and evaluate your specific pest needs and develop a plan to economically keep your structure pest-free.
Norman O. Besheer currently serves as Chairman and CEO of Gunter Pest Management. Prior to January 2, 1998, he was President, Treasurer and CEO.
During his career with Gunter, he has served as President of both the Kansas and Missouri Pest Control Associations; President of the Pest Control Association of Greater Kansas City; and National Vice President, Regional Director and Board Member of the National Pest Management Association. He is also a member of Pi Chi Omega, the professional fraternity of the pest control industry.
Norman is a lifetime member and Senior Counsellor of the Missouri Bar and practiced law for 16 years prior to his affiliation with Gunter Pest Management.
