Get to know Norman Besheer:
Norman – our 2nd generation president of 25+ years and employee of 50+ years – passed away peacefully on December 23rd, 2024 just two days after his 96th birthday. Norman O. Besheer until 95 years old, Norman was one of few in his independent living complex to remain an active driver, and he drove himself to work and small errands a few days per week, continuing in a part time role at Gunter as Chairman and CEO. Prior to January 2, 1998, he was President, Treasurer and CEO before passing the company on to his son Jay.
During his career with Gunter, he has served as President of both the Kansas and Missouri Pest Control Associations; President of the Pest Control Association of Greater Kansas City; and National Vice President, Regional Director and Board Member of the National Pest Management Association. He is also a member of Pi Chi Omega, the professional fraternity of the pest control industry.
Norman is a lifetime member and Senior Counselor of the Missouri Bar and practiced law for 16 years prior to his affiliation with Gunter Pest Management.
